Can you help Jakob?
Jakob Sales is a youngster from Wimborne who has a severe form of cerebral palsy which has confined him to a wheelchair. In 2015 his family set out on an epic fundraising journey to raise £65,000 for an operation which should enable three year old Jakob to walk.
The operation isn’t available on the NHS, so Jakob will have to go to the US for it. The surgery itself costs £30,000 with the remainder of the funds needed for pre and post op physio and equipment.
Between his family and the local community, the fundraising has been incredible. There have been events all over Dorset, from play coffee mornings & carol concernts to Zumbathons. The fundraising appeal is now over 90% of the way to where they need to be for Jakob’s operation, physio and four week stay in the US, booked for April this year.
