Less plastic in our oceans with CleanHub partnership
With today's 'disposable' lifestyle, the statistics on plastic are terrifying. We create 400 million tons of plastic waste per year. At Freshleaf we believe that tackling plastic pollution shouldn't just be down to individuals. Businesses - both those who have plastics in their supply chains and those who don't - need to play their part. That's why we've partnered with CleanHub, an organisation on a mission to connect people in coastal communities to waste collection. That will result in thousands of new waste management hubs globally, which will directly prevent plastic waste reaching the ocean, as well as providing dignified jobs for local communities. Everything they collect is processed in the most environmentally sustainable way available.
Via partnership with over 250 brands, Cleanhub has already collected r partnership will support the collection of 1,800kg of plastic waste over the next year, helping to add to that total. The entire process is tracked through CleanHub’s Track & Trace technology, ensuring certified impact, and providing the transparency required to demonstrate that this is not just greenwashing.
